We have earned a number of prestigious awards, accreditations and partnerships -  they're not simply given out by handing over a cheque to get 'the badge'. For example the inaugural TOPRA Innovation Award was judged by a distinguished and internationally respected panel of experts - Samarind won the award over an equally distinguished list of finalists, which included Pfizer, Leeds University, Farenta Oy Finland, who support the entire operational chain of pharmacy and pharmaceutical management for companies in Finland, and PPD Results Development, a leading global contract research organisation.

As part of our accreditation assessment for the Microsoft Gold Partnership, a satisfaction survey of over 100 Samarind customers was carried out by an independent research company. As you may have guessed, we fared extremely well. Inaugural TOPRA Innovation Award

Samarind received this prestigious award in recognition of the development of RMS On Demand, its internet based regulatory affairs tracking database (with document management and eCTD publishing software).

Below is a statement from the panel of judges read out at the inaugural International Regulatory Affairs Awards during the annual TOPRA Gala Dinner on October 5th 2010:

"We all know that every day in regulatory affairs innovation is taking place - new ideas for efficiency, new methods for productivity, new processes etc.  The Innovation Award recognises that innovation is a key differentiator; it is a measure of the regulatory profession's ability to adjust to changes in regulatory science, the healthcare market or patient needs.

Judges were asked to assess novelty and complexity of the innovation, what the value was to RA professionals or healthcare in general and the potential return on investment or business impact of the innovative approach.

The judges felt that the Samarind product was 'an innovation that supported small companies and addressed the issue of costs that is so important to them'.  The product is 'well presented on an excellent web site. The web site and free consumer trial is very customer-focused."

Technology Innovation Award (2008) 

 Samarind's reputation for developing innovative solutions was recognised when we won the 'Technology Innovation Award' at the 2008 Flintshire Business Awards.

Samarind's founder directors Sadik and Miranda Pothiawala were presented with the award in recognition of the development of 'Samarind RMS', the company's leading edge regulatory affairs software application for the pharmaceutical industry.

The software has evolved further since 2008 to provide an even more purposeful software toolset for the regulatory affairs profession. Among the long list of system features are submissions/lifecycle management supporting National, MRP, DCP and Centralised procedures, automated email alerts, structured document management with integrated eCTD tools, PSUR scheduling and Med Info.
