BPI Service GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the German Pharmaceutical Association (BPI), which is a not-for-profit industry association representing approximately 260 member companies with approximately 72,000 employees.

BPI Service GmbH was founded 1991 in Frankfurt am Main.  It has an inter-disciplinary team of physicians, pharmacists, lawyers, economists, political scientists, journalists and event managers and has many years of industry experience in the healthcare sector and in support of associations.

 BPI Service provides a variety of services to BPI members and non-members, including pharmacovigilance solutions; these include literature searches, PSURs, SOP templates, audits, training services and also (via a software partner),  the provision of a hosted software system for the electronic submission of ICSRs/SUSARs to the EMA and national agencies throughout Europe.

From January 2012, BPI Service has partnered with Samarind to provide its regulatory management software (RMS On Demand and RMS for Windows) to BPI members. The purpose is to provide a cost effective, compliant XEVMPD solution for automating the collation of EVMPD data into XML format for transmission to the EMA, and a regulatory affairs information management tool with built-in EDMS and eCTD.
